Re: Lets see your survival gear.
Thanks for all the ideas. I am going to put together a kit for our vehicles. Right now I only have a leatherman knife . I dont even carry the spare tire in the H2 . Twice in 22 years I have been stuck in snow and had to spend the night in a camp . But have always been able to get out the next day from shoveling or snow vehicles pulling me out. This is a pic of one time we got stuck. We were driving where we shouldnt have been , but camp was real close. We got stuck and stayed the night at camp. The next day we spent most of the day shoveling out. I also ruined the tread of the tires spinning them .

And probably soiled a good pair of pants after the dog attack was over.

Re: Lets see your survival gear.
Those are some great tips on what to keep in your truck
I was snowed in an old VW bug for about 24hrs. All we had left after our backpacking trip was some cheese nip crackers, honey and Southern Comfort. Not the best survival food.
Now if we had some MRE's, Beef Jerky and Jack Daniels we would have been fine!

I did mine with 50some K miles. Though I had some unusual problems (go figure), I'd do it all over again.
Now that I've got 70K miles on the engine, I'm adding a SC..... better late than never.
