Re: Heres a thought!
It doesn't have to be now just because of the Holidays, the troops and others need help year round.

We could collect Silly String. They use it to detect booby trap trip-wires.

Ideas ?

Re: Heres a thought!
Since we're on the topic of giving, does anyone know of where I can send my old Maxim and Stuff magazines to the troops?...

Re: Heres a thought!
I will get an address today and post it.
A thought though, we have a lot of wounded troops in the VA hospitals that might enjoy reading your different magazines. I take my hunting and fishing magazines to Walter Reed in DC for the guys.

Re: Heres a thought!
Having spent 18 months overseas, I really think the idea of help for the families back home is great. One of the best things ever to happen while I was deployed was several people took collections and raised money and the day before Christmas took stuff to all the deployed soldier's families. It was not anything large or anything but it meant allot to the kids and wives to know someone appreciated that their dads/husbands/wives were overseas.

I agree with Scouts. We military guys are pretty well taken care of but it is our families that really do not get the recognition. I think many of the times that deployments are harded on my wife and kids than on me.
