Well, I'm gonna tell the people at Toyota, "the blonde chick is a ditz".
Its a straight axle for sure.
I asked if it was straight axle in the rear. She said "yep". Then a couple of seconds later she said, "oh wait, no, it's independent all the way round".
I should have checked first. Sorry

So this is what happens in the winter when we can't go wheeling, we start to do evil things like drive FJ's. Thats it , we need to go on a snow run or something.

Rovers are made in low volumes in England and are just too darn expensive. Lots of luxury crap helps justify the price.

Well, the reason I bought it originally was for reliability.I have seen some on the IH8MUD forums, with no less than 200-300K miles, and have done no more than replace a head gasket.
There is NO plastic. The one you see is all leather inside, even the third row seat and door panels. No expense is spared when it comes to quality. None.
Yes it has a inline 6 cyl!!!! The new ones do have V-8s.
They were a luxury Vehicle, and still are.

OK Bebe's...I understand the above ..but are we just talking interior qualty for that extra XX $ Grand..??
When you say no expense is spared... how much better is there drive line and or components to the H3 to justify that money. Back in the day Rolls Royce use to use GM Cadillac Auto trannys in there cars.
I would think that Eaton ..Borg Warner and other American drive line componet mgf's make a solid long lasting product also.
Of course ..I'll give the Brit's there Prop's for the Land Rover as it is a fine vehicle.
