Re: Another 37" tire question
I swear by Procomp Xterrains. Of course, being in Dallas, I have no experience with them in the snow.
They do very well with Rocks, Mud and Pavement, and are very quiet with a decent life span (30K-35K depending on how much rubber you require).
They also come in the 12.5 width.
They are a little more expensive, though.

Re: Another 37" tire question
Great...thanks gang. I loved the PJs til they got about halfway through their effective lifespan. Really on the fence about the noise versus performance issue. Trying to get the best balance between day to day liveability, offroad perf. and snow traction.
Although her in MA we're having the warmest Dec on record with no snow in sight yet...

Re: Another 37" tire question
I love my cooper STT's. they are 12.50 and do very well on rocks, and mud. Also, they were a little noisy at first, but they have since quieted down to nearly the same sound as the stock AT's. Mileage went down by 1 MPG (or at least that what the CPU says). It could be that I haven't recalibrated for the tire size. But there are no real downsides IMO.
