Thats funny. When I was at Camp Pendleton the code word we used for the Main Attraction (strip club by the main gate) was the "library". We would take off at noon and go as a unit to the strip club but if anyone came looking for us we would tell them we are at a PME (Professional Military Education) at the library. Also when the wives would call we would tell them the same thing.

Re: What do you eat for New Years?
New Years Eve: I think of it as a last meal of the year type of thing- Grilled Ribeyes and Oven Baked Potato (baked with Sea Salt and loaded) and then little cups of icecream with homemade chocolate sauce and chopped walnuts.
News Years Day: A late breakfast (Sausage, hashbrowns and eggs), threw a Corned Beef Brisket, red potatoes and cabbage into the Crock Pot, then battered some fresh green beans and deep fried them- served them with a wasabi ranch dip around 3:30, then we ate around 4 and then I had more icecream later- nabbed the remaining chocolate sauce( ).

Re: What do you eat for New Years?
We were being lazy this past weekend and pretty much let everyone else do our cooking for us.
New Years Eve: Pizza Hut
New Years Day: Subway.

I made it. I was trying to repeat a sauce I had at TGI Fridays.
It was really good and easy.
I just mixed some sour cream and sprinkled a little "hidden valley" ranch seasoning packet- not the dressing (I keep those and french onion soup packets in my spice cabinet for dips and stuff.) then added a little bit of wasabi paste- tasted it and then had to add a little more for the desired hotness.

Yours truly. Around this house, if I didn't know how to cook, I would starve... and the kids prefer Dad's cooking.
