Default Re: H3 Accessory wire by the radio

There's a yellow wire under the driver's side A-pillar cover that's 12v switched.. It, like the radio will stay on when the key is turned off, until a door is opened.. I don't have a clue what that yellow wire controls though.. Either the sunroof or power for the mirror I'd guess..

Thanks for all the help. I ended up going off the yellow to the rear wiper switch. Will post if any problems arise, so far so good.

By chance does anyone know what the grey wire is from the radio harness? I seemed to get 12 off that with my meter with KeyON EngineOFF.

The yellow wire is for a sunroof. However, there is a possibility it will be there with, or without a sunroof. Some harnesses have all options in them, even if the harness is not ordered.

the a-pillar cover is the plastic cover over the pilar thats in front of the driver to the left or to the right. The one where the wire in question is is in the driver side pillar. There is a little oval thing that says air bad on it if you have an air bag, and it probably doesnt say anything if you dont. That thing is a cover for the screw that hold the cover in place. If you remove it you will see the screw under it. carefull taking it off as not to scratch the palstic around it or itself. if you take the screw off pull the outward, adn then if i remember correctly up.
