Re: Victory Red anyone?
Really neat pics man!!
I love watching "How It's Made" on the Science channel...I'd love to see them do a piece on how the H2 is made...
I understand why you can't talk about the 08, I'm also in a similar position. Half the time I can't tell my wife what I'm doing!
With that being said, you MUST tell us about the 08's!!! Look, I'm not going to buy an 07 either way so....
Sweet Pics!

I love that show too! The only one I've seen is the Ferarri 599 plant, but the similarities in the paint shop between the 599 and the H2 are almost dead on! We use the same "ro-dip" phosphate andcoating process, primer is applied just like a powder coating process, the paint is applied by robots in a dust free booth....so on and so on. One difference would be, when the H2 gets painted, the robot actually opens and closes the doors to get to the door jambs and inside. Pretty neat to see in person. In fact, after thinking about it, I really want to put together some sort of slide show of the plant now. Starting at the beginning in the body shop and working step by step to the end of the line. That could be interesting.
Smart move waiting for the next model, especially if you've already got an h2. The 2008 will have its changes, inside and out, but aside from the interior it will be like going from an 06 H3 to an 07 H3....if you catch my drift

Re: Victory Red anyone?
mdoyle - The plant scraps thousands of dollars a day in damaged parts. Some of the parts they use on these hoods are the discontinued, all black, pieces. Others, are parts that are already scrapped from other trucks. But you bring up a viable concern about scratching the hoods paint while swapping in the new chrome piece. Good point.
Htothe2- The new interior looks real nice! It's a more classy look, with brushed aluminum type finishes and chrome accents. Think 07 Cadillac trucks.
Trinity - Unfortunately, I don't have any info on the pricing. I don't even know the cost of the current trucks we're sending out. Most all of the trucks here leave with a just a shipping version of the window sticker, with no price or list of options on it. Just a list of the standard features and a barcode for tracking purposes.

Personally, I am hoping the new interior has a similar feel to the interior on my Alpha. That would be great.
I always felt the current interior had way too much cheap plastic. The ones I've owned all had creaking and popping that drove me crazy. (Not that the Alpha doesn't -- but that's a different story...)
