Absolutely you can air down. 5 lbs is better than nothing, but if you want to flatten your tires out a little more then you could go down to 30psi. Be really careful you don't roll the tire off the wheel going around a corner and hitting a dry spot. Any amount you increase the surface area of your rubber on the pavement/ice=better traction.

p.s. please don't hold me responsible if you manage to pile it up in the ditch. K? thanks.

And speaking of snow, we're getting a huge surprise snow storm this morning. this is great!

ice is ice!!!! not really a damn thing u can do besides "crawl" imo- u cant do a thing to improve the conditions short of SLOWING DOWN!!!1

Yeah, there really is nothing you can do in ice except put something on your tires that is going to break into the ice a bit and gain some traction, i.e., studded tires (not legal everywhere) or chains.

I had all that stuff ...DUH...I aint stupid you know. I had to know how to get to the "SHOE STORE" in a safe manner.
