Re: Hummer H3 6 cd Radio
Becareful I think these radios have some kind of a lock out code if they are removed. This may be required to reinstall.

Re: Hummer H3 6 cd Radio
The dealer will have to reprogram it. When I did mine I was quoted $20 by my dealer for the reprogram, but in the end they did it for free.

Re: Hummer H3 6 cd Radio
Its better to keep the radio then selling it cheap?.
If you crash it ,you could swap out the headunit and keep the aftermarket.
Or swap it when selling it down the road.

Re: Hummer H3 6 cd Radio
Yes, I believe you will have to have it reprogramed to your vin, dealer should charge from 20 to no more than 50 for reprogram. In reply to fourfourto, thanks for the advice, but I guess it's to late now, already posted on ebay.

Re: Hummer H3 6 cd Radio
Curious, if this radio is out of a HUMMER H3 as it is listed as having a Chevy/GMC green-blue display color (and not the typical orange color or the color of the display in the photo)?

Using an MP3 CD MP3 Format
This MP3 player will accept MP3 files that were recorded
on an up to 700 MB CD-R CD. The files can be
recorded with the following fixed bit rates: 32 kbps,
40 kbps, 56 kbps, 64 kbps, 80 kbps, 96 kbps, 112 kbps,
128 kbps, 160 kbps, 192 kbps, 224 kbps, 256 kbps,
and 320 kbps or a variable bit rate. Song title, artist
name, and album will be available when recorded using
ID3 tags versions 1 and 2.
The player will be able to read and play a maximum of
50 folders, 50 playlists, 10 sessions, and 255 files.
Long file, folder, or playlist names or a combination of a
large number of files and folders or playlists may
cause the player to be unable to play up to the
maximum number of files, folders, playlists, or sessions.
If you wish to play large numbers of files, folders,
playlists or sessions minimize the length of the file,
folder or playlist name. You can also play an MP3 CD
that was recorded using no file folders. The system can
support up to 11 folders in depth, though, keep the
depth of the folders to a minimum in order to keep down
the complexity and confusion in trying to locate a
particular folder during playback. If a CD contains
more than the maximum of 50 folders, 50 playlists,
10 sessions, and 255 files the player will let you access
and navigate up to the maximum, but all items over
the maximum will be ignored.
