Don't worry, the scorpions crawling on your sleeping body will deter the cockroaches.

Funny thing you didn't mention bugs before K9. I'm having second and third thoughts...

True, I totaly forgot about all of them, I am used to them now. I also have a good pest control company that does my house and park.
We feed the bugs to the lizards and then the lizards to the birds.
LOL, We have one of the largest bug removale industries going.

Re: Anyone ever been to Florida?
I might be able to stomach the boring beach lifestyle, the saggy flesh, the bluehairs, the humidity, the lack of anything recreational to do, the lack of beautiful geography, the constant rain, and the intense heat.
But NO WAY could I deal with those bugs.
oh, btw Ken....we don't have any bugs in CO.

You want a real bad visual, think of what you said above and then apply it to a nudist beach.....

Re: Anyone ever been to Florida?
In Middle School I used to take water color classes in this woman's attic afterschool. She was an amazing teacher and there were only 3 kids in a class and I think she had only 2.
Anyway, it was me, a girl named Laurie and this guy Michael in the Tues/Thurs class. I had grown up with Michael- from a distance, in elementary school etc. He started getting weird in the 5th grade or so. He was a talented artist- not amazinly talented- but talented and he was very bizzare. Kinda like the artistic homo brother in "Wedding Crashers", but not a homo, at least I don't think so- could be- it doesn't matter.
Anyway, he was weird. Just would peer over his shoulder at me from the easel if he thought I was checking out his stuff. His hair was just stickin up all over the place all the time like he was attacked by 5 cows and they all licked his head at once- beady little eyes, you get the picture.
Anyhow, I later heard Michael and his family went to FL to vacation for a couple of weeks and a dead Haitian had washed up in the water or surf next to him.

WTF??
Did he paint it?
I remember coming up on some Cubans while on patrol in the keys, Man they had a 3 cyl engine mounted in the middle of this old wooden boat. I have no Idea how that thing even floated or for that matter even got as far as it did.
But that somehow reminds me of all the Banana spiders down here, they are fun to play with....

OMG, I remember when I had lived in Miami (Coral Gables) and just got home from the flea market .. also known as a "Farmers Market". I bought a huge plant and hung it temporarily on the bathroom. I went in to take a shower .. moved the plant and got in the shower. AGHHHHHH!!! A HUGE .. HUGE banana spider was inside the shower with me on the wall. It was the biggest, furriest thing I had ever seen! It obviously was inside the plant and crawled out. I jumped out of the shower to get a shoe to kill it .. and the thing jumped off the shower wall!!! I finally got it, but not without difficulty. And, another thing ... the palmetto bugs (aka cockroaches) ... they fly. They are a given in Florida ... they live in the palm trees and always get into the homes. In NY, it has to do with dirty places. In FL, Palmetto bugs (roaches) are part of the locale/climate .. and they do come into your homes .. and fly at night. I left S. FL because I hate humidity (never a break .. it's year round no matter what RYD tells you), the bugs ... and I don't speak Spanish.

#1 thing in South Florida... You NEVER NEVER kill a spider. They eat 4 times their weight in bugs every day. when I was growing up the next door neighbor have a free roaming pet spider named Betty.

Re: Anyone ever been to Florida?
Silly Haitians are always doing things like that here. Personally, I think they are just looking for attention. We have some real good Haitian swimming jokes, but you have live here to hear them.

Re: Anyone ever been to Florida?
First off you two Florida TURDS, I'm trying to sell 2 houses here and your not helping... LOL
Just so you all know they are both joking.
We have no cockroches or bugs of any kind and if you want to see cockroaches visit New York City in the summer and you will see hundreds of billions of them. Shuffelboard was banned 6 years ago. Its against the law to sell blue hair dye. The old people here are YOUR grandparents (come and visit them, buy my houses). There are more cubans in Georgia then in Florida. There are more Haitians in New York then in Florida. The mosquioes in Alaska are bigger then they are in Florida. The schools system in Florida is rated in the top 10% in the country. Florida has one of the best road systems in the country. Florida has the second fastest growing business community in the United Stated. It is THE GATEWAY to Central and South America. Yesterday, Sunday it was 80* F. What was it where you are??? Today, Monday I drove to the Florida Keys for Lunch, had the sweetest Fried Oysters I have ever had. There are lots of HUMMER Dealers so you can purchase them at a great price. We have fewer tornadoes them most states. The women are A-1. I have not turned my heat on in over 7 years. and on and on and on...

YES!!!! there is a what we call the "shark dance" on some days we have to high step over the sharks to paddle out to surf.
the high steping is the "Shark Dance" but for as many sharks that are here, you would think that we would have more bites. I am more wooried about the Man-a-wars and Gators and the crack heads, less Anna Nichol.

Boca Rattan was pleasant enough when I visited in December 2004. Haven't experienced summer there yet.
