Re: What $150K Can do to an H2!!
Well for those of you who think this is lame "MONSTERMATT". Let me say this truck is a daily work vehicle. The owner runs constuction sites here in Canada and drives his $250K (yes CDN, LOL) vehicle on the sites. In ditches through mud holes etc. and of course the famous winter elements here. He just does it with much more comfort and style then most ! It beats on this truck so hard it is in having the tranny replaced for the 3rd time in 4 months. This time he is having a beefed up transfer case and tranny installed rather then going the warranty root. Oh ya, this is a 6 month old truck, BooYaa!!
tomp: Maybe I should point out this is a Hummer. It can pretty much do anything you want it to do off road bone stock. As well take a look at the 37in mudders on it. Those aren't your panzie street pavers!
DRTYFN: Well I wanted to do alot more stuff, such as what you had mentioned but in this case time was a concern. We built this in 3.5 week and delivered it to the customer. The pic that you are looking at there is of a premium A/C vent from Manticore. I wasn't finished installing the rest of the accessories on the interior when that pic was taken.
K9sH3: Because he has the $$$ that allow him to. I think if we all had limitless bank account we would do a whole lot more with our rides.

Re: What $150K Can do to an H2!!
I still say you've grossly inflated the actual amount spent. And 3 1/2 weeks is a loooooong time to get a vehicle ready - UNLESS it's your 1st H2. Don't try to exaggerate things - be truthful & realistic. People here will appreciate it and you'll possibly earn some business. Not likely now, though.

Re: What $150K Can do to an H2!!
Did you by chance ever drive this up Kingston way? I had an H2 that looked identical to this (well, it was night time, but I remember the large rims, the clear rear roof lights, and the webbed roof rails) pass me on the 401, and one of the headlights wasn't working. I was in a grey H3 with 35's full dry mud.

Wow ! that's way too much bling bling in my opinion !! And, the interior is too busy / too much ! I'd get a headache driving around in that. Looks like a whore house on wheels ...

I don't, but I have enough to do w/e I want and I still wouldn't, but thats why we have choices and likes and dislikes.

That is exactly what they are on 24" rims. They have no value off-road at all. If you are going to try and educate people, at least have some vague idea what you are talking about.
I'm envious, I wish I could tack on $30k worth of crap to truck and mark it by $120k. I'd be very happy.

Which is fine, there is just no need to pretend that they are something they are not.

No, you are 100% correct with that. 24" rims WILL NOT go offroad. I am thinking the guy was trying to just say the owner doesnt care about function and if he bust the wheels he will just buy another set.

I spent $0 on my interior, and I like it a whole lot better.

Nope, but had these damn little pesky plastic clips that held them together. Those clips alone must have been 2-3 bucks.

Re: What $150K Can do to an H2!!
I'd be happy to make a set of COH rock rails for this. I'd do it at a bargain basement Elcova discount too. $3800 + shipping.

Re: What $150K Can do to an H2!!
I think the exterior of the truck looks sweet with the exception of too much chrome. My personal opinion is chrome is good as long as it is tasteful and not on the truck just because its available. I would do away with the chrome bumpers and corners, and fake air vent covers first and foremost. I dont care for the interior at all, but hey i dont have to drive it.
I know a guy in my town running 24" mazzi hulk style rims with the same kuhmo m/t tires and he loves the tires(it looks SWEET!). He went from 22in rims with toyo/mt's to the 24in with the Kuhmos and says the road noise is significantly less with the Kuhmos. From all the claims about how great the Toyo M/T's are i find it hard to believe but very few are running the Kuhmos so he may be right. If i wanted to dump alot of money on rims/tires and didnt care about rock crawling i would probably running a similar setup. It may not be the best setup for crawling but it is still a very capable vehicle IMO.

Phil, I think we can agree that chrome doesn't make an H2 less capable off road. Big wheels, maybe, but not chrome itself. To each their own...
I think its unique, in a word.

Well it does make it less capable when it hangs down like THAT!

Chrome absolutely hinders a vehicles off-roading abilities in that the driver is much less likely to do anything that might scratch the bling. Can you imagine the hissy fit the driver would throw if that front bumper got nicked?
