well, wasn't it that when off-roading, the tire would compress in he wheel well, hit the outer edge of the arm, puting leverage on the linkage and snapping it between the two anchor points, thus, in the middle?
well, thats my guess?

yeah kind of, when articulating at all, the tire would move up and hit the rubber end of the rod. this fix flips the arm to the other side of the arm and replaces the plastic pin with a bolt. flipping the arm gets it out of the way so the tire wont hit the bolt anymore.

Just to be a smart ass I need to point out one tiny little inaccuracy...those are channel lock pliers...not a monkey wrench. Sorry man.
