I was told it will be in the eight inch range and will be cast iron (don't tell Bebe ). I think they said 8.5, but cannot verify that with the one we have been playing with since it is not a total 08; just an 07 with the 5.3L.

As I said there was not much difference, in my opinion between a 3.7L and the 3.5L, there is quite a difference between the 3.7L and the 5.3L. You can actually beat those dang H2s; that is, until you come across an 08 with the 6.2L.

The trans stays the same, or at least the one I have been playing with is the same.

Personally, I may have to rethink the V8 thing since I'm hearing that the color I want will only be offered on the Alpha or the Bling X version.

Still no info on fuel mileage tests or pricing, but as I said earlier, rumor has it the price will be over 2K. Which makes sense, a more expensive engine and front axle.

I hope so. And the way the new bumper sticks out kinda makes me think they went bigger.

Since I tow my boat all the time, I'm particularly happy about the GREATLY increased tow rating with the H3!

The front elocker will not be on the list of improvements from what I'm told BUT it'll mean that you can after market one because it'll take it. OH JOY!!!!!

That H2 looks awesome with that new 6.2 and six speed. Maybe the Denali's getting the trade in too!?!

Looks about the same to me.. Just the lack of black making it stand out more..

The new bumper is for "car to truck capability". That way when you hit that car infront of you, you don't ride up over the top of the rear bumper. Nothing to do with the front axle.

Ahhh, thanks for the clarification.

Are the mounting points the same so you can swap back to an old bumper and get your approach angle back?

At least we don't require the rear bar like in Europe. I wonder how hard it would be to remove when off-roading? I understand the possible liability if you remove it for highway driving and run over a Prius (that does sound like fun though).

Thankfully no rear bar. How about the Adventure package on V8?
