I was still in High School when that came out. It had the "Cross Fire Injection". The auto mags referred to the new Vette as "The King of the Hill" due to the return of engine power after the power robbing emissions of the late seventies and early eighties.

I've had a couple vettes since then and still love them. I don't know how this vette tangent got started either but, since Neo has a room devoted to them, the 3 owners are probably gonna end up talking vettes again.
