Re: New to Forum! Getting An Alpha h3 - for sure
Good luck with that H3 Alpha, I just bought an 07 Tahoe which I love by the way, I have been away from the forum for a while and I didn't realize the Alpha was really going to be a reality as I didn't see how they could stuff a V8 under the hood and not hurt the approach and departure angles. I think with the V8 many will opt for the V8, but I think they will start at around 50k, but never the less they will sell a ton of these things as the V8 is what the H3 really needs, now it can kick Toyota's ass.

It's not going to be 50k. It will be about $2k more. Not a bad upgrade price (actually quite a bargain) considering the stronger cast iron front end, and far superior engine (tow rating, power and everything that goes with it) I'm still curious as to if the steering components will be upgraded to handle the extra torque. If not, I will be having some machined up or be corresponding with the folks that have made aftermarket components for the H2s.
GIT SOME!

yea when i hear 50k i almost dropped, my dealer told me it should be around 40k for a pretty nice alpha. That is resonable if it were 50k It would price its self right out of the market since the h2 is about that. And if it ends up being that pricey i'll just get a regular h3. But i dont see it being that costly at all.

Hell, you can get a freakin' Land Rover LR3 V8 for less than $50k! (not that I'd want one but you get the idea)

I'm glad that they're smart enough to not get ridiculous on the price, now I have to talk the wife into getting one, she doesn't like the small size and the H2 has poor mileage and when gas is over $3 a gallon that can hurt.

Tell ya what then, tell her that the '08 H2 is going to get even more mileage than the '07s!
One thing, again, I really really hope for is that they get rid of the "piping" on the H3 seats. We're getting leather this time, the piping is cheesy and coming from someone that's reupholstered a lot of stuff, the piping is a weak point of failure because it pulls on the stitching. We looked at a limited H2 a few days ago at the dealership/dreamshop and it had the wheat interior. It is SO EXTREMELY much better than anything else I've seen in any factory Hummer! It's very very very nice.

Who says? No official pricing has been released yet. We're all going off F5's guesstimate. (Of course, he's usually right. )
But figuring several people on here payed over $40K for a Lux w/ Adv, I'd say $45K for an Alpha is very possible, at least until the newness wears off.
