22 year broadcaster here, Time to go Imus not just for this but because he sucks. If your argument is correct it should be across the board, if I said something even close, I would be fired on the spot and fined by the FCC. I have to follow the same rules put in place by the FCC so bye bye Imus. The whole FCC media PC thing is what's wrong. Want raseist radio pay 12 bucks a month and get it on sirius or xm.

I totally agree that Imus sucks. But he, nor anyone else, should be forced out over something like this. This is almost the same thing that happened to Senator Trent Lott - except he didn't say anything and the Leftists told everyone what they thought he said.

funny I see who listens to the Rap "white kids in your town" Don Imus is a former drug using raseist from back in the day. Do some research before defending a piece of crap like that. Our state is helping him write off his glorious ranch that servers him well before any kids of any color. I know we use to fix (his) ranch Hummer H1. I voted Rep. and have values and don't belive in the double standard but lets be fair. His own network is using him and he will be fired. Why is it ok for Michael Savage to say get aids and die, and get fired? Stern can say a cuss word and get fined millions. We did it to ourslves with creating the media into a judge of morals and give the FCC the power to push busniess owners and their talent to PC milktoast radio and television.
Rap, Don't like it, don't buy it (or let your kid or grandkids) it's your money? Rap music sales off by over 20% it is starting to go.
If Imus was a real entertainer he would have never went on Sharptons show. Sharpton is a bigger raseist then him. Sad old man trying to save his a$$. #1 power to make a change, your pocketbook, plane and simple.
Real talent doesn't need to go there to have a good show.

Ok question for all.....

Everyone knows Imus was laughing when he said the now infamous comment. It was a joke. So, lets take comedians. Say Chris Rock in concert making light of white people. Does this now entitle an audience member (or someone like me who saw his act on HBO) the right to file a formal complaint against him and HBO for disparaging remarks against white people????? This to me is the same damn thing.

And they wonder why folks have certain opinions/stereotypes

You have a point, but does it require this public stoning by way of racial means? If blacks and the FCC want to man up, they need to hit the public radio stations as well and ban all songs with "nappy" and "hoe" in them and you can kiss all the rap stations good bye!

Thats my point, its ok for some (blacks) and rap radio stations to say it on the public air but not for others (whites) which is called discrimination.

So, to now drag this piss poor man out into the public and stone him to death is uncalled for.
