Re: 2008 H2 - Official Pics & Video
mechanically, i really like the 08 model. a larger displacement motor with cylinder on demand is a great feature. Also, the stability/yaw control is and the 6 speed trans is a good added feature. Paddle or driver controlled shifts for towing of off-roading sure, why not.
However, the thing i love about my h2 is that it looks like an h2 and "nothing else" being built by am general is great and all. Thus, with the new 08, i really dont like the looks or the way GM has tailored it to look LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE it sells. Your not gonna look at that interior and not see a mix of a tahoe/escalade/silverado. That center section with the polished outline is what almost every other GM has...
and that is why i dont like this new model. It seems to have stepped away from what AM G. designed with GM's help to something almost strictly from a GM design department. I see no 'hummer' in that interior, where we spend most of our time.. and that kinda gets to me a bit. Not a complete overkill just not what i excepted.
The rear a/c vents and other features are great... they should of just tweaked an interior that says hummer, not GM.
EDIT: Well, i will say that the black interior pics are awesome! But not hummer and that sh!t just kinda kills it for me... add some titties to it please!! That is all we need!

Re: 2008 Hummer H2 - Official Pics & Video
Any news on towing capacity?
The H3 alpha is up to 6,000lbs. Hope the H2 increases as well. (F150 11,000 lbs)

Even though the H2's built a lot tougher than the F-150, it's heavier, thus lowering it's tow rating. It'll be interesting to see if it goes up.

Re: 2008 Hummer H2 - Official Pics & Video
Maybe more than 8,000 w/ air. I tow around 9,500 now (06 SUT) from time to time w/o issues on 37's. I by no means endorse or recommend towing this much! There is my dosclaimer.

What about the new F350. 24,500 lb towing capasity. If it keeps going up like this soon a F350 will be able to tow more than a FL70.

Re: 2008 Hummer H2 - Official Pics & Video
My sincerest apologies if this has already been addressed, but from the pics that include views of the windshield/rear view mirror, I don't see Rainsense wiper or Intellibeam placements. The first option is very handy on rainy days, the second is great for nightime driving on two-lane highways, and both are currently available on a similarly priced Escalade.
