No really, I think H2Rocks and I should spend some time in Durango "desensitising" the Hippies

Re: Traded in my 3, thought you would want to read this...
Sorry to hear about your anti-Hummer experiences in Durango Colorado. I
You can own a Hummer or Jeep etc. and still care about the environment. I do and always have
Whats the difference from an H3 that gets 15-18mpg and a Toyota Tacoma getting the same mileage or a Land Cruiser or Sequoia that gets worse miliage. I can't believe how stupid some people can be!
It will probably get worse as gas prices go up and global warming increases.
GM should do some green marketing PR for the H3 showing it's good mileage and treading lightly etc and marketing to young and old active outdoors types like the Xterra commericials.
Maybe I should put a GreenPeace or Sierra Club sticker next to my NRA sticker to confuse them

Sorry to hear Dorango is such a ignorant location. This skewed attitude is a sign of the unfortunate time we live in. Family take priority over wheels certainly. Wait for GM to wake up and get the overdrive gearing. Then come back.

Re: Traded in my 3, thought you would want to read this...
You 100% did the right thing, your Wife and family are the most important things you have in your life... I would have done the same.
I could put up with all of that, all but one. If any Mother frucker ever points a finger at my girl or me and makes a threating jester towards her or my kids. You would read about it in the paper...
I admire you for keeping calm, no go find that sumbitch in your truck and pull around him and let him rear end ya, then beat the shiat out of him.
About your trade-in value, yes the 3's are taking hard hits in value, I am planning on trading mine in tomorrow, the dealer is very close to what I wanted for the 3 with everything removed. Now is when I wish I hadn't sold my old rims and tires.

Re: Traded in my 3, thought you would want to read this...
I agree, you did the right thing. These people are too ignorant to understand that fuel mileage in other vehicles is worse than an H3. They are also too ignorant to understand that threatening someone in this day and age, could end up with them having to fight for their life, or have small pieces of lead removed from parts of their body.
I have traveled through Durango in the H3 and didn't seem to have problems, and I have driven through it a few times in a Jeep. The Jeep actually obtained less mileage than my H3. (Of course, my H3 has an overdrive gear, I guess not all of them do.)
Good luck with the truck.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Family first though and good on ya mate.
P.S. I had a 2006 Subaru for about 3 months, it was getting 14-17 miles to the gallon on premium fuel.
