lol so true. I hate the tree huggers who try to give hummer a bad name. Its really a shame that you had to sell the H3, but you did the right thing. Protect your family, its a lot more important than a truck. We have been given the finger countless times, but no one ever is man enough to say anything/do anything. I dont know what they think they gain by pulling this crap. I was driving the h1 we usto own one on my 18th birthday, and some dumb b!tch gave me the finger I was so pissed! I thought of ramming her but its not worth it people like that are trash, also its costly to repaint the bush gaurd. I love the plate ideas by the way! lol plnt h8r is awsome!

Sorry that it came to what it did man. Hope things work out for you.

Now me.......I would have just gotten a magnetic sign and had it on each sign of my hummer that read........"I'd rather be bulldozing the rainforest".

It's a free country!

But I do love the area where I live in Kansas.......expensive BIG cars are a dime a dozen, and we all get along for the most part. I did experience two instances where I was given the bird, but it was accross our stateline on the Missouri side in a county called Raymore. I was stopping by a Wal-Mart there, and when I saw the people inside; (most with 6 toes on each foot, and a few with 3 eyes) plus all the Cobalts in the parking lot. It made sense.

Peace

Mark

I'm not putting any stickers on my H3 that causes tree huggers to go off. I don't want to become the victim of vandelism, etc.

Not seeing the hate here in Silicon Valley.

Your exerience(s) in Durango makes me plan vacation(s) differentley. I love the San Juans and SW Colorado. I guess I wont stay in motel or eat in restaraunts in Durango but camp out north of town.

What do the "tree huggers" think of Jeeps or Toyota Trucks?

What do the "tree-huggers" do for a living in Durango anyway? Kayak and serve coffee to tourists?

Damn I bought the H3 to take trip on now what?

Do I have to rent a Subaru to visit Durango now?

How's the tree hugger attitude toward H3s in Silverton, Ouray and Telluride?

Isn't Ouray the Jeep Capital of the world?

If it was me personally, I'd stay in Silverton, Telluride, or Ouray anyway as they are more the Colorado Mountain experience. I have not heard of any of these problems in those towns. Jeeps and Toyotas are dime a dozen. The tree huggers all are freeloading off the state for their food, clothing, electric, etc. and are as organized as a high end terrorist group. They recruit more hippies each year and teach them how to milk the system. They don't work and most attend Ft. Lewis College for peanuts. Because of the old greenies that run the city and county, it is quite easy for young hippies to live and breed here for free.

Bring your Hummer, just be wary of where you park it.

Thanks yzergod

Ive been going there all my life and never dreamed of a back lash against me because I had an H3 or any particular car. Previous trips were in Jeeps though.

Maybe you can start a B&B for Hummer owners?

We were in Telluride last July 4th and were the only H3 in town. Did not feel comfortable as it stuck out like a sore thumb compared to all of the Subarus and bicycles in town.

BTW, was eating in a restaurant here in Las Vegas, and noticed a tree hugger couple looking at us like die die die. When we left, within half a mile the low tire pressure alarm came on. Turned out that the right rear valve stem was loose. Gee, I wonder how that happened...and on the right rear??? Seems they really did want us dead.

H3's need to have a self-defense system it seems.

Mark,
LOL....I live in Olathe and could not agree more about our "country" neighbors to the east of us.

I have to go to Belton to visit the Mother-in-Law and run into the same characters over there. Lots of Grand Am's and Ford Escorts with anti George Bush bumper stickers....
