Re: Everyone's going to the car wash, yeah...
Since my favorite place closed a couple of months ago, I have found a new one in a neighboring town called Miami's Detailing. I go once a week .. they do an awesome job. All handwash, of course, and detailing. (In between washes/detailing, I use the California Duster to de-dust the rig. )

Why in CA do they talk about Miami as the "COOLEST PLACE" and in Miami they say the BESTEST is in CA...
We need to shoot the advertising people along with the lawyers...

Re: Everyone's going to the car wash, yeah...
I wash the H3 once a week generally. Sometimes every two. I like to wash the H3 myself so I can get all the road grit and dirt out from those hidden places.
However, if it hasn't been too rainy and I didn't get it filled with sand and mud I will take it to the local carwash.
My car wash is a hand wash, with a very powerful air dry blower that gets most of the water off when it leaves. Then a quick wipe down and off I go.

I wash mine myself. Haven't been able to find any place that really gets in all of the nooks and crannies as well as I do...and if they do, they want an arm and a leg to do it.
I enjoy cleaning it almost as much as I enjoy getting it dirty. Sure does look purdy when it's done!

Paid $15.95 for a decent handwash on the H3 Sunday at Country Club carwash in Santa Clara. Plus I typically $3 tip for a job well done.

Re: Everyone's going to the car wash, yeah...
In the winter here in Sout Joisey ...I take the 3 over to the pressure washer and stand back about 3 feet and let er rip. Just to get the salt Gack of the body and under chassis.
Since I work in AC , I park about 200 Yards from the ocean. So every few days except in the summer months I have a salt air mist on the 3. So I have to get that gack off.
In the summer, I hand stroke the 3's body with warm soapy warter and a soft cotton towel.... ..ooooohhh.... Nice.
Can you say Chubby.
