Chipped some teeth in the diff - on one of the spider gears I believe. I didn't get to actually see the carnage this time since they had already put the cover back on the old axle and had it packed up ready to ship back.
The tech also said he found lapping compound in the diff. Kinda surprised since I have 36K+ miles. You'd think it would've caused a failure a long time ago. But whatever it takes to get it replaced under warranty with no questions asked.

Sewie - as one of the few "docs" on here, may I recommend some Preparation H for the cracks and a box of Depends for that leak   |
