saw it on discovery channel. And about soldiers having it, i put one on last week at the air and sea show and those vests are ridiculously heavy no way you would be able to run with that plus the other equipment. It only protects your chest and bakc and stomach areas all other areas are vulnerable and with that and not being able to run your just about garunteed to get shot. If you ever put one on youd understand why the soldiers dont wear em.

and on the discovery channel threy put tha dragonskin laying on top of a live grenede and it didnt even break through

The stuff looks good. I have a flak vest with a front and rear lvl IV ballistics plate that I use for work. The plates are only good for more or less a direct hit. I like the fact that the dragonskin wraps around your body. Also a plate can only take a couple of shot till it starts to shatter. I have seen this first hand at the firing range. After a few shots the rounds pass through the plates like butter. Best of all its light weight.

They should find a way to incorporate that into vehicle armor. That thing withstood a damn grenade!

Are you kidding? They're so much lighter than the vest the troops wear now.
