The dealer is proablly up selling a bit. Service writers work on comission + base like car salesmen at most dealerships

I dumped my Goodyears on the H3 at 35,000 miles, they were only about 1/2 used up.

You've got something wrong if you can wear out these tires. I've got 53K+ miles on the bridgestones and have never rotated them. I should be able to get to 65K before I need new ones. I could probably have gotten more out of them if they had been rotated.
