Anyhow, best thing to do is I'll take a vernier caliper along to the showroom and find out for sure

I'm still confused? Will these* 16mm parts fit my 2006 if I replace both inner and outer at the same time?

25781473 Inner Tie Rod 16mm*
15907712 Outer Tie Rod 16mm*

The 16mm must be the threaded section that adjusts the toe-in correct?

The tie rod ends that bolt to the steering knuckle and steering rack have remained the same?

Maybe the the way to go is replace 14mm parts with the 16mm tie rods at home in the driveway and keep the 14mm as spares?

I have been assured the inner 16mm rod will thread into the steering gear, and the outer will fit inside the knuckle with no problem.
The 16mm measurement is the diameter of the inner tie rod between the joint and the threaded portion that threads into the outer tie rod. Due to this larger size, the outer tie rod is large (approx. 22mm from my measurement).
The inner comes with the large and small clamps for the boot, and a new jam nut. The outer comes with the new spindle nut.

The part numbers for the tie rods are for either left or right, they are interchangeable.

Just remember, if you get 16 and you currently have 14, you have to change both on one side if either outer or inner breaks.
