Re: Do H3s have "Trailer Brake Wiring Harness Adapter"?
My 06 with the trailer package has wires for a controler hanging under the dash to the right of the steering column. Sorry I don't know the color or what's needed to use them.

To the right of the steering column all the way down by the tranny hump attached to the light wiring.
The Black Wire: (+)Battery
The Red Wire: Brake light
The White Wire: (-) Ground
The Blue Wire: Trailer Brake
I am assuming you HAVE trailer plug on your H3.

Re: Do H3s have "Trailer Brake Wiring Harness Adapter"?
My h3 came with two adapters so that the trailer wiring harness on the back next to the hitch can connect with the trailer plug.
when you do this, the brake lights and turn signals should be transmitted automatically to the appropriate lights on the trailer.
If you have a trailer equipped with surge brakes, they should function automatically.
That's my 2 cents

One of the adapters is a cig liter socket.
The other has the flat 4 pin adapter.
surge brakes may work, need to find out exactly how the are set up. some has a 'back up' block or lock to flip so u can back it up w/o brakes working.
Thanks on posting the brake controller wiring info, I've got to put one in for the horse trailer.

thx for the wiring layout. I was referring to electric barkes and not surge brakes.....
Of course surge brakes would work...LOL

Re: Do H3s have "Trailer Brake Wiring Harness Adapter"?
Adapted my factory set up with a 4 pin type. It plugs in and even lights up when I hit the brakes. Cost $9.00 @ either K Mart or Wall Mart.
