Go find some jeepers (on line forum etc) go out with them and learn how to use your rig. If you look at my video (pure Hummer edit) you really can't see some jeepers in the background. I got my training from GM so lucky me but you need to ease into it and buy some basic recovery equipment.

Oh and I know how you feel, I got major lost and had to ask some rv riders. they treated me like i was way out when I was only a quarter mile away from the trail head
I felt like a real a$$

well ive got tow straps, but i took em out of my car cause i went out wakeboarding and ditn expect to go offroading.

look around here using searches. the jack area and cubby of your truck can hold everything you need. i have hidden in my truck cubby and jack area

tire patch kit
first aid kit
air compressor
strap
3 d rings/clevas
tool kit
water
ponchos
toilet papaer
platic bags
cb
cb antenna
2 2way radios
binoculars
crow bar
all out of plain site.
