Re: I Have A Confession To Make...
With your stereo off, air off, and windows open you slowly and very gingerly ease your way up to the object you do not want to scrape, crunch or have any other nastiness happen to your truck, then move to the point you can hear the noise you think it would make when you come in contact with those bad things and you will know you are there! Then you make a permanent record of that point and mentally back it off a couple of inches and you will know when to stop in the future.

Oh.. I see... So I guess you sit in your lounge chair and close your eyes and pretend your driving your H3 down the road with a Big T_ Ty Blonde along side you fondling your gearshift.
And when she moans ... you make a mental note of where your hand was so you can get that excact spot later.
Or..when you change your Forum Name from H3less to Gotta 3

Re: I Have A Confession To Make...
hey vette
here is a suggestion;
instead of the curb "finders"
why dont you go get a set of curb "feelers"
like the old la bamba's had in the 70's?
they attach to a lower part of a fender,
are like a foot long or so,
are mounted at a 45 degree downward angle,
and they are made of like a spring (chromed for the bling factor)
They make a noise when you get within a few inches of anything.
That would be classic!!!!!!!!
The other approach is simply to keep in mind that the edge of the front tire is in alignment with the edge of the rear tire, so using the sideview mirror angled down a little and looking at the position of the rear tire you can infer the position of the front tire.

That's what I meant when I called them "curb finders" up above. LOL! Vette thought about using them in a vertical position on the fenders, but they wouldn't stay erect ... they are sorta floppy.
