The best thing you can do is just forget about mpg. This topic has come up multiple times and no matter what you do, you might be able to squeez 1 mpg more if you lucky, on anything you do. If you keep looking at the "instant mpg" gage it will drive you insane. This truck is a shoe box going through the wind so forget about it and move on. Just think about "I HAVE A HUMMER AND YOU DON'T" that makes it all better. Thank you and good night sir!

It sounds sweet when you get on it. I don't really notice a whine on idle either, but the long first shift gets the exhaust sounding amazing. As far as the 14.5 on instant, I drive down the highway at 59 miles an hour. After all I have a Hummer, honk I dare you. I had a Lincoln Navigator that did crappy on the mpg's too so it's not like it is any thing different than what I have been used too. Does anyone out there have nitto mud grapplers? Just wanting to know if they perform as good as they look! The truck came with Chip Foose 17 " rims, with BF GoodRich all terrain ko's, but I really like to mud, so I think that will be my next investment. Great forum, now my wife does not have to listen to me talk about my hummer! Win! Win!

I have Toyo M/T's (37x13.5x22) and I love them..A little noisy on the highway, but we will get rid of that with the S/C..

I guess I just don't notice it. My exhaust is all I hear. Of course with any throttle added you can here it. But at a standing idle, you would have to listen very hard.

No lift but the torsion key was adjusted to lift the front end 3" for clearance..Slight rubbing with very hard turns so I don't usually make hard turns. The tires were $400 each..
