I can tell you this much I went out to buy a range rover and ended up with an H2 after the Range died on the test drive. I have had small issues with the H2 sunroof stopped working, light died on top and clunking sound in the back but nothing serious. But my only concern is getting where Im going confidently. And the Range couldnt do that in the first 5 minutes in the car.

H2's are all time 4 wheel drive and have hi and low locks, Also have a locking rear diff and TC2. Im not sure on the h3 end because i dont own one but i think you can get all that in a H3.

I used to own 1995 Range Rover Classic LWB. IMHO, Classic Range Rovers are the best Rovers ever built. It is hand built, parts of body panels are aluminum, and it is utiliterian. As far as reliability goes, I have not had issues with my Rover for2 years of owning. It was reliablel vehicle. Overall maintenance cost is what really hit me. It is very expensive to maintain Rover, not like H2. Parts are specialized and none of the Amoco or SA mechanic can work on in case of breakdown.

H2. It is a offroad beast just like the H1 heritage, but also classy head turner at night out to fine dining.
