Default Re: Gas Mileage after Programmer

We get an honest 12MPG with ours ( bounces between 11.9-12.2) with regular driving, most streets around here are 30-45MPH with a moderate amount of traffic lights. I do drive pretty easy, I figure its a big pig of a truck from a performance standpoint so there is really no need to be mashing the gas all of the time. I have yet to get any really decent mileage on the highway though, going 70-80MPH we have a really hard time seeing better than high 13's maybe 14, Overall Im pretty pleased with the mileage it gets.... not really much worse than any other big V8 SUV

I have a friend who also has an H2.... he has a set of 26" wheels and drives pretty aggresive and he is down in the 9-10 MPG range so depending on your driving style it can make a huge difference.

I have it... Before I installed I was getting roughly 12MPG give or take .2... After install with the premium setting I'm getting about 10.9 (according to the indicator) I have not gone through a tank yet to figure out true mileage yet.

RippSpeed is correct on the MPG in my mind. Everyone knows what happens when your are way way to lean. I do not care what you built the engine from it will end up damaged if you do not know what your doing in the tuning end of the deal. Lean has to be offset with something such as higher octane, greater cooling, or several other options. The cheapest is driving with a very light foot and going really slow if that lean.

The Predator is a great tuner if you can adjust +/- timing maps, fuel injection percentages, etc... I wish my hypertech could do that but then why would I need something like that... I have this problem with messing with cars alot... I cant leave $#!T alone... This Hummer I'm leaving pretty much stock... p.s. I bought this hummer for my wifey... I really want another hummer with a diesel in it... So I'm waiting to get mine when they offer a diesel with a alison 6spd...
