Re: New Rockstars & Grapplers
Looks good, F/O, but you should have put the gator print on the outside.
Rotate them at least every 5k miles or you ain't heard "loud" yet (when the fronts start to cup). I didn't rotate mine often enough, and only got 22k miles out of them.

Re: New Rockstars & Grapplers
Yea. I'm a bit pissed that they mounted them skin side in. I ordered them already mounted and balanced and I didn't realize till after they were on the truck and now its not worth the trouble.
Thanks for the info on rotating. I was thinking about 5k or so, but I sure as hell hope to get more than 22k for how much I spent on them. Did you cross rotate them or just front to back? I haven't really got a good answer from any shop. Def much better from an actual user!

The shop mounted mine that way too, but I made them remove and re-mount.
I always rotate just straight front to back. There was once a "school of thought" that said because crossing them changed the rotational direction of the tire, you'd risk belt separation. I'm sure that's an out-dated view, but I have stuck with it. Still not a solid answer for you, so maybe someone else will chime in.

Re: New Rockstars & Grapplers
How many miles have you been getting out of them and how often are you rotating?

Great wheel and tire choice. Looks terrific with your rig color..I have 37" x 22" Toyo M/T's and they are very loud as well, but with the noise from the s/c and exhaust, I can't hear them..BRUTE

Re: New Rockstars & Grapplers
ok, i just went with the toyo m/t tires after having the nittos (grapplers) and there is not even a comparison as far as noise goes , the toyos are soooo much quiter , not even up for debate IMO i think for the aggressiveness and profile of the toyo, and the ride u cant go wrong they rule!!! but the grapplers are cool too thou

I was very happy with the offroad (mud) performance of mine (37x13.5x18), but I didn't rotate them often enough and only got 22K miles out of them. I probably could have gone another 10K, but I was getting stuck too often. They're one of the loudest tires there is, but you don't seem like you'd be bothered by that.
