Re: Hummer H3R and H2 Safari
I don't like the 3. The bull bar is to wimpy and not integrated with the skid. It looks like someone pulled its underpants up over its lower lip.
I like the big sunroof on the 2.

I agree, the bull bar looks as if it came off a kids swingset.

It's the same bullbar used by Rod Hall on his H3...
Must be working if they trust it...

The American Motors Javelin, Hornet, and Gremlin all worked, and, I'm sure many people trusted them too.
I think it gives the overall appearance of being too thin for the install i.e. doesnt match the Hummer "brand name" of being heavy duty.

Well, personal taste aside, I think it fits perfectly for what they were trying to achieve. Anything larger would diminish the proportions of the the hood, grille, fenders, and the new bumper/skidplate which they're obviously trying to embellish on. Covering all that up with a huge bull bar would make everything else look smaller, any higher they cover the grille, any wider and the bull bar would be square instead of angled, a thicker gauge would look silly. It's perfect.
And to correct myself, it's not exactly the same as the one Rod uses, they have a much larger one that sticks out a lot more, would look silly on this concept.

Re: Hummer H3R and H2 Safari
The H2 looks OK, but with those headlights, looks like someone punched it in the gut and made it's eye's pop out. Kinda like DRTY's H2.
The H3's bull bar looks cool. Proportionatly correct. They should make that for the H2 also.

You're right on that personal taste.
I just think Hummer gets spanked a bit when people start throwing cheese all over it.
Hummer el-fresco looks much better!
Of course, minus the rims.
