Ignoring the image of LJ/Gammy and critically analyzing the dynamics behind his communication with his father we see an illustration of the dominant emotional attachment that exists between mother and son. Which I believe confirms an assertion that once the male has been exposed to a warm "gutted rabbit" they truly do spend the rest of their lives trying to get back in it.

However, LJ is clearly displaying how children model their gender specific parents and why "Do as I say, not as I do" is a retort used by a very poor parent who does not teach by example.
