It depends on the year. On my original 2003 system it was exactly the opposite from when I replaced in with what was probably a 2006 or 2007 unit.

2003 has a snowflake with a line through it when the A/C is off.

Yep that is what I get, and when the AC is ON nothing. Okay, looks like all is "normal" time for a
