Yes its true. Like the X model the Alpha carrier is not the same. In order to mount Toyo 35 spare you will need to order the stock H3 spare carrier. Use the search pull down for the link...

Are you saying there is a difference between the spare tire mount on the Alpha and the regular '07 H3? When I tried to mount the tire it hit the bumper on the bottom and the wiper on the top. Thanx

Cool Re: Spare tire Mount to fit 35" tire

Very interesting, I have an 2006 H3 and my spare 35 fits like a glove, they must have used a different mount on the Alpha's. Was GM trying to cut costs again, shave a little off here and little there?

That doesn't sound right. I've got an 08 H3 Alpha Adventure and my 35" Mickey Spare fits? REAL CLOSE, but the door opens and no rubbing??

I agree, I have seen two Alphas with 35 MT's on them without issue.

Are you running the stock rim? ...or aftermarket?

Is it possible you didn't have it mounted up properly Or did you maybe hold it up there and say no way is that gonna fit????

I actually picked up the 35" stock rim mounted with a 35" Toyo Mt and the bottom of the tire hit the bumper, forcing the top of the tire to lean in and rest on the wiper. Perhaps your Mickey Thompson's are a bit smaller than the Toyo's. BTW I inflated them to 45 PSI. Do you think that is too much? I run off road about 20% of the time in mud. When on the Highway, they make less noise than the stock bridgestones!!! Thanx
