Digging up an old thread (At least that meens I'm searching) I just bought an 03 H2 and I have the same problem. It is hard to steer at low speeds. Any ideas?

Pump out all the fluid and put in some good valvoline synthetic powersteering fluid.

I read something somewhere about hard streering in very cold weather and using a
hybrid or full sythethic fluid in the power steering pump. And it seemed to work
wonders for their problems. We have 68000 miles on our 03 and it still looks new.
It fools everyone into thinking it is brand new but since it is not I guess we are not
to get it a little dirty now and then ~Richard
