Re: Sunroof Problem??
Has the dealer done any previous work on it before? They tend to get out of alignment mostly after they have been worked on
I called the dealership that the former owner had been taking the H2 to for maintenance. The service manager ran the VIN and told me the sunroof motor had been replaced 14 months prior. My '05 H2 was/is out of warranty and the warranty on the sunroof motor expired after one year. All the stealership offered was for me to bring it in and for a $100.00 fee (non refundable) they would diagnose the problem and give me an estimate for repairs. If I accepted the estimate the $100.00 would be applied towards the final bill. Arguing with the service manager that the work they performed installing the new sunroof motor was most likely the reason the sunroof was out of adjustment got me nowhere.
I have the factory service manual and it does not show any procedure for adjusting the sunroof. It only shows how to R&R the entire sunroof assembly.
I still to this day "manually assist" the sunroof when I close it.

Re: Sunroof Problem??
I hadn't thought about taking it to an aftermarket sunroof place but perhaps it may be worth it.
The only way to buy new tracking is to get it with the motor. ($1600 bucks)
**** that, I'll use two hands...
(I'm use to using two hands anyway.... )
If any of ya'll take or have taken it to an aftermarket sunroof place, let me know... I'm curious.
