Re: SUNDAY 5-4-08
Sitting here thinking of RYD getting a massage and talking about Honeys.
Saw the De La Hoya fight last night, I was confused with all the Mayweathers......... And Rocky was in the audience which made it strange.......
Just taking it easy today, watched some of 'Starman' on Showtime. A little Back to the Future....Flipping around- steaks later.
Mmmm.....Sugared pecans. I do them about the same but add some cinnamon. Dammit Stacy.....I might have to make some now.

for your steaks, if already defrosted and your going to BBQ or Broil them...
In a glass baking dish smear some spicy brown mustard on them and load em up with crushed garlic, flip em in the dish and do the other side, squeeze a little LIME juice on em, cover in plastic wrap and let sit in frig as long as you can...will work on flank, skirt, rib eye,t-bone, porterhouse, rib. delmonico, hell i've even done it to a chuck roast...
goes with fresh mushroom and onions, small salad of Buffelo Motzarella with onion and tomato, okra and tomatoes, peach cobbler for dessert, ice cold AMBER BOCK DRAFT to start dinner, finish with home brewed tea ...
em-em good !!!

First off...
2 starches (not healthy)
very common
not any greens (for your health)
corn is not nutricious (thay make fuel from it)
baked potato (most people will put butter and/or sour cream on it{fat})
no variety (same old-same old)
now if you insist on the baked potato, cook it till the center is just done, let it cool, scrape out the center leaving at least 1/4" on...put the shell back into the oven after brushing the inside with butter and cook until crusty...put the cooked insides into a bowl, add a little cream, a little butter, a little blue cheese, several tablespoons of chopped scallons, 1/2 teaspoon of horseradish, a little minced garlic, some parsley, celentro and a couple of chopped green olives...mix well and put back into the shells, sprinkle on some spanish paprekia, heat, brown and serve with the steaks...
as far as corn on the cob, soak in buttermilk overnight (leave the cover and silk on) when ready to cook drain and place on the grill for about 25 minutes...should be good about then with just a little crisp to it...before that prepare dip of butter, buttermilk, finely minced red sweet peppers, again spanish paprekia, a little minced hot pepper like habanjro or scotch bonnet {not to much} and a little kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper. once the corn is cooked about 1/2 of the time remove, peel back the covering and silk, coat the ears liberly, close up and put back on the grill to finish...

Re: SUNDAY 5-4-08
Same old Sunday. Cleaned the pool again since the tree near it has quit pollenating. Maybe this time it'll stay nice. Cleaned the hot tub some. Cleaned the deck and yard. Worked. Ate dinner out at O'Charleys and it was just okay. Got Starbucks. Went out to the beach a while and tonight watching a movie, having a few and trying out that new His and Hers stuff. TMI but I didn't share the brand or anything. Got some new bubbles to play with the dogs with. RYD, your cookins sound awesome. I forgot, I finished There Will Be Blood today. I liked it a lot. *I drink up your milkshake!*

If you're ever up here, we have a nicely remolded guest house out back with your name on it.
Corn on the cob season is just starting and I can't wait to start grilling it!
