Goop Remover works pretty well, as does rubbing alcohol.

with all the responses,but nail polish remover will eat right through the paint or at the very least melt into the paint. A clear coat rubbing compound will work if you take your time and use a circular motion .

go to any auto body supply shop and buy a can of wax and grease remover works great

I would NEVER use nail polish remover on the finish of a car! What type of marks are you talking about. Are they swirl marks or something that you could use rubbing compound on, however, a little rubbing compound goes a long way. If it's swirl marks, I like Maguires swirl remover, often used on classic cars and available online or in many automotive departments. For tar I use WD40 on a watered down rag, and for bugs nothing beats Coca Cola.

No need to search WD40 its a spray lub that should be at all auto stores and you can also find it at the grocery store.
You might as well spray your lock cylinders,door hinges,hood latch,parking brake ect,go to town with it
