Re: Tropical Storm Fay
RYD, I did not say it was an enjoyable expierence at all, i ment it is a fascinating one to see what it is. I have friends and family who live up north and they do not actually understand how bad it can get, becuase they just think storm, they dont think side effects like the ones you mentioned, gas lines etc. I simply ment expierience what it truly is. Wilma hit directly my town, that came as a cat 3 135 MPH hurricane windows and all are great. however being without electricity for 9 days, waiting on line for gas, trying to make pasta on the BBQ and the lceanup flooded roads and all was certainly a pain but at the same time a life expierence Im glad I had the oppurtunity to have with no property damage or injuries.
This Fay storm, got me off of school for a day, roads were flooded by me, a lot of rain not to bad wind, but the water was insane most roads were flooded above the curb, way above the curb, I was having a blast driving through them only to watch other people stop and turn back and take pictures of me haha. Hopefully this will grab us out of our drought.

TROPICAL STORM Fay (never made it to a hurricane yet) has now KILLED one person in Florida...
It has spawned counless tornados in the state...
The Governor is asking for federal help...
It is expected TROPICAL STORM Fay will effect the ENTIRE State of Florida by the time it finishes with heavy rains and FLOODS in many areas...Thats 66000 Sq Miles (Florida is the 22 largest state by land & water mass)...
ARE YOU "EXPERIENCING" it yet !!!

Re: Tropical Storm Fay
no-no
you got it wrong...
I'm not DOOMSDAY & STUFF...
I'm just telling you all the facts that have happened...trust me I don't want anyone to "EXPERIENCE" this event...
like i said a page or 2 ago (99% of all hurricanes and tropical storms to hit SE Florida since 1951)
there are certain experiences that people don't need to see and feel and hear...
you seem like a nice person, I don't want to see you filling up gas cans, buying extra can goods, filling extra propane tanks, lugging sand bags and having to worry about your house and business flooding and you personal effects getting ruined...at least I know your HUMMER will be OK !!!

You're a nice person too. I was just teasing you. I do get serious about big storms, I just happen to love bad weather so the little ones don't bother me much. Thank you for the advice.
