A major factor which gave the nod to Obama is because you had SOME people vote because of the color of his skin....

If those people could have said...Yes I like his platform or his economic stradegy is to my liking, or some substantial reason I could understand but to vote because he is a Black Man with no experience, that is plain wrong!!!!

Exact figures were to be released early today. But according to exit polling yesterday, young voters supported Mr. Obama 2 to 1 over Mr. McCain. Six in 10 women supported Mr. Obama.

that is true but a lot more people DIDN'T vote for him for the same reason.

i will be the first to admit that i am racist or whatever, i don't like blacks, but i know with obama this country will be in better hands than mcCain. with obama as president it brings hope to people. it sends a message that america is not corrupt as it seems.

I voted for McCain but I'm hoping for the best with Obama. I liked things about both men so I wish him well. What I don't get are the people crying over his election like he's their savior. That confuses me. Then again, I don't get why people of this day and age are still racist. Who cares what color he is? I didn't vote for him due to my opinion that McCain had more experience and was a war hero that served his country and almost died for it. I didn't agree with everything he believed in but nor did I agree with a lot of Obama's policies. We'll all have to wait and see how things turn out. I just don't understand why people think it's okay to say that they don't like black people or people of other cultures, religions or races. It's stupid and but for the grace of God you could have been born black, asian or indian. Seriously, if more people loved each other equally then things would be so much better.

Obama started backpedaling during his Grant Park speech when he said his goals may not be accomplished in one year, two years, or one term.

But the best was when he said "we all will have to make sacrifices" and "the road will be long, the mountain will be steep." The looks on the faces of people in the crowd were priceless. They were like, "Huh? Us?"
