You guys are right....

The guy did the whole job, including labor, for $195. I figured it was so inexpensive - and he did a 'good' job (good, if the mirror wasn't torqued) - that I was hoping for some quick reset trick from the forum. Wouldn't have to bust his chops, no harm, no foul, and I would be good to go.

Here is why you guys are totally on the mark - I removed the mirror to get a better angle on the connector to check for bent pins or something - all was ok - as I followed the loom upwards, right where they meet the windshield and go into the headliner at the back of the console, there are a couple of cut wires.

You get what you pay for, I suppose. Anyway, just got off of the phone with him - he will be having a tech come out to fix it up.

Thanks again, to all and the forum, though, I probably should have done what you guys said in the first place - just told him, it was fine, now it isn't - effin fix it (without bugging the forum).

I didn't have that problem, but they failed to secure the plastic side pieces with mastic or double sided tape after they replaced my windshield and it made a very loud buzzing noise. They were good about coming back and fixing it, even though I thought it was the sunroof deflector at first. WOW! 195 is a good price, I paid 405 for mine installed!

Take your mirror off and then check the connections on the back. Maybe they removed the plug and when putting it back on bent or broke one of the pins.
