Re: BlueStar?
Take the $400 and apply it to a good aftermarket stereo that supports phones.

Re: BlueStar?
That's what I'm looking for. Though I've always had aftermarket stereos, the older I get, the more I want the stock crap. It works, it's dependable and the chances of someone breaking in to it out are considerably lower.
Thanks for the link.

And it's like that for most things. It's not that the manufacturers can't make it faster or higher but they have to sell to the general public and then warranty the vehicles.
As I get older, my modifications become less radical.... except my blown big blocked, tubbed S10.
In fact, I just recently talked myself (I think) out of installing a hemi into my prowler. It's a 2000 with 5K miles and I almost decided to pull the motor and put in what Chrysler should have.
But alas, maturity may have just saved me mucho time and money.

Re: BlueStar?
You got it bro! I was thinking of getting an aftermarket remote start for my H2. My neighbor is a service manager for a GM Caddy dealer. He said to stick with a factory remote start. Hes looking into using a newer caddy remote start system with my 06 H2. He says those aftermarket systems seem to work fine for a while then quite out. He sees more vehicles get towed in because the owners get stuck and cant start thier cars. With age I'm getting over all that after market stuff. Some stuff is great, but it seems the more electrically involved the more problems you create!

Perfect example. I bought my truck and it has a remote start on it. It's great but the stupid thing has it's quirks.
Here's an example, instead of my truck locking the doors with speed, sometimes I start the truck and the doors lock automatically.
On more than one occasion, I've opened the door, started the truck (with the key) and closed the door to let it warm up.
Immediately, it locked the freakin' door.
That shiet would never have happened if it were stock.

Why yes, yes I did. However, had I been younger I would have done the diesel swap.
My installing a simple, long lasting, very dependable Maggie supercharger shows how I'm slowing down. I like my dependable no fuss, no muss supercharger. (though not quite big enough)
