Check out http://www.performancetrucks.net they have a pretty damn big tuning and diag area.

The problem is finding a tuner with a dyno that will handle 4 wheel drive.

And if you do find one, I assure you won't get it dyno tuned for that kind of money.

As far as this wheatley guy, the problem with those tunes is that they are a canned tune, usually fairly generic and usually at least 25RWHP less than a tune on a dyno or by laptop.

When I supercharged my last H2, I had Nelson Performance do a tune. It was basically the same thing... you gave him specs, he programmed your computer. Obviously without a dyno or laptop, he's doing the same thing... a canned, generic tune.

I'd love to find someone that would tune my ECM via laptop. Then you'd get real world readings.

The problem even with dyno tuners is they tune the car at WOT throttle in 3 or 4th gear.

Though they can change fuel tables, timing, etc, etc, there is usually a slight driveability that is missed while tuning on a dyno as opposed to a laptop tuner riding down the street with you.

My .02 worth.

Allen last year or maybe year before put in a dyno plus just down the road he also used a dyno from another friends company to build his tunes. He does push to get safely what you request.

You can tune without a dyno and using a laptop plus just my opinion get real world tunes. It takes more time but, you hook up laptop and run down the street as well as interstate in scan mode then make flash to ecm. My onboard computer setup that takes over all A/V navigation etc. type functions will be set to boot up in scan mode everytime you get in to go. You can verify it's startup then on touch screen tap to switch to A/V screen control etc. while your tuning software scans for you to check. If you see a change needed stop make flash on the spot. This is intensive but, any local tuner that has software can spend a few hours running real time scan runs and get a very good tune.

But, Allen is the best alternative.

In all honesty it depends on your dealer. My dealer told me to do what I wanted and they would back me. They wanted to see what could be done woth an H2. So it would not hurt to ask but, if you know how they feel use a handheld so you can put stock tune back in anytime you go for service.
