I run super 40 duals with headers and SC. I love the sound but, Flowmaster came out with super 44's after I had complete exhaust Jet coated polished look or I would have switched to super 44's.

If you go with single replacement I would use super 44. I really do not think you will find it to loud as it is adding lower grumble as well. Make sure you still go over axle and out back or even a 50 series will turn your insides to jelly. I tried dual super 40's turned down just in front of rear axle and drove it home for the night down interstate for 30 minute and next morning was back at shop having them run out back and turning down in stock location. Been in love with sound ever since.

Thanks for the replies guys, I know that the super 44 is louder and deeper and all but it just seems like its too muffeled compared to the 40 series, that's why I went on YouTube to compare but there is just not that many Hummer videos out there, what other trucks/SUV share our 6.0L engines? Tahoes, HD2500s? just so I can research...
and Humminboat, what's the offroad series? 1 chamber?

Check this video out, this is what i'm looking for but the idiot didn't specify what series Flowmaster it had....

Thanks!

I have 2 single in single out 50 series flowmasters. The muffler shop just cut out the stock muffler and welded in 2 SISO mufflers up and down beside each other. The entire job ran me like $130. The sound is crazy outside the vehicle, and is bareable inside even at highway speeds. It is loudest inside the cab at 2700-3400 rpm. Loudest outside at 2200-3100 rpm.

And I even got a little more low end torque.
well here are a couple of pics. Sorry it's dark and my rig is dirty.

I am a little old-fashion. I don't even have anything to record a vid. Or even have the slightest knowledge as how to load it even if I did. But I can tell you this, the sound is great, very deep and loud. There is no wrapping or popping when you rev it up just a deep meen growl. You can even hear the air being sucked through the stock intake at 3000-34000 inside and outside the cab. I have had custom exaust on every vehicle I have owned, and this is by far the best sounding and the cheapest.

headers, high flow cats, an magnaflow exhaust is what my truck has an its super loud yet very clean sounding. I had flow masters before on it an like you ive "always" been a flow master fan but the magnaflows in my opnion where much much better sounding cleaner an louder it roars and the truck response was better with magnaflow. i have 110% converted from flowmasters to magnaflows. If your looking for some grrr that sounds like a 500 hp engine thats your set up. Iam not sure what the power diffrences are really all i can tell you is the magnaflows helped my low end response an mid range more than the flowmaster did which might pick u up an extra mpg as it did for me. less throttle more movement.
