The fit was tight on some parts...especially on the sections where the fender flares overlap, or tuck under, the bit below the door (running board?). When I took it to the Line-X shop they asked me to lay the pieces out so they could see how they went together and where they overlapped so they knew what to coat and what not to coat.

On some of the pieces that attach with the push-in clips/buttons I had to open the whole back up a little with a large drill bit...but all in all it snapped back together very nicely.

Beauty of the whole thing is that everything matches...I got the whole idea when I bought the sides steps. They came with the replacement 'running boards' that have the notches cut out for your foot...but the running boards were not textured like the stock pieces; the new ones were actually meant to be painted to match the body color...so I thought 'what would make them all match AND be rugged as hell?' -- Line-X!

I use the bedliner in a can on my bumpers all the time. lol.

The tech at the Line-X store said the same thing about plastic, but the owner of the shop showed me samples of other things he'd sprayed. Trust me, it sticks to plastic. This guy had test coated it on everything...glass, plastic, metal, wood...Line-X is awesome.

Funny you mention the bedliner in a can...my nephew has a Jeep Laredo and wanted to do his truck just like mine (until his found out how much it would cost...he's only 16 and $600 is fortune to him) so we ended up doing his with the canned bedliner. We put on about 4 coats and it turned out pretty good but I worry about how this will hold up over time and after a high-pressure car wash.

Well let me clarify my Bedliner in a can usage. I only use it on the steel parts. Not the plastic. I really don't know how well it would hold up on plastic either. I have found that after offroad trips my rockrails, and bumpers typically get scratched up. So I just shot it all with bedliner in a can. It really holds up very well to washing and I have not had any problems with it flaking at all. But it does get scratched off when I go dragging the truck over boulders. However I just use a wire wheel to get the rust out of the scratch and touch it up with a little and I am good to go!

I bought some of the Griots too and it turned out great! Does anybody know how to get it of of the concrete driveway?@#%!

Just cleaned the SUT on beautiful day here in NH. Man, the stock plastic bumpers get worse every year. I have posted on this thread before, i used "BLack Again", and that would last only a few rains and washes. Its time to try the Griots product in the next couple of weeks.
Any feed back from the guys who have had it on for a long while now with-out reapplying?

No problems for me and I've been washing my truck 2x a week at the drive up do it yourself carwash that uses the power sprayer.

I did notice a little white dull area but I hit the bumper with some maquires plastic cleaner an all has been well since.

HA I started this thread 10 months ago and still have not had to re apply to any of my trim. It looks just as good as the day I did it.

I bought 3 bottles- I've done the front bumper x3 the hood handles x3 the rear bumper x2.

Getting ready to do the roof crossbar arms.... x3!
