If that tubing is fairly stiff, hook a battery operated drill on it and let it spin inside the drain tube while the water is flushing. that will clean it out.

My sunroof drain tubes (the 2 front ones primarily) get clogged every 6-12 months. I use a weedwhacker cord pushed into them. My driver's side one is currently being a pain and won't unclog.

I might have to try the SPUDS technique or use an air hose.

Anyone else have any other successful techniques?

Mine became a problem again and I couldn't find where my wife put my tubing. So I got some of my leftover wheel cleaner. I believe it is some variation of oxalic acid. I poured some into each drain hole and let it set. After only about 5 minutes each side started to drain!

I flushed each side with a lot more water and they drain great now.

That's a pretty good tip, I will have to give that one a try.

2006 H3 owner......having the same issue...sounds like poor american design to me...I think the biggest problem is trying to find information that we can reference to tackle this issue....with the latest rain in the Northeast, I had a virtual puddle on the floor of the passenger side, not a comforting feeling. My latest attempts have been to pour a small amount of water into the collection tray in front of the drain holes, run a wire into each drain hole as far as it could go...and....I couldn't really make out if there is debris in there...I also had to crawl under the vehicle to see if the water was draining..it seems to be draining from behind the front tire, somewhere in front of my front mudflap...due to darkness I had to call it a night, I'll try again in the light of day.....I'll continue to resolve this...and send another post ....BB

Has anyone been able to track the path that the drain tube takes to get from the roof to the wheel well?

Tracking the path may allow you to identify any tight spots, weird twists, or kinks where sediment may be allowed to collect so you can make adjustments...or maybe even give you insight as to whether a slightly larger tube could be installed down a more direct route.

Just a thought.
