People have finally found a use for their Hummers," shot back Dan Becker, who directs the Safe Climate Campaign and has inveighed against SUVs. "Now if some entrepreneur would just ship all this snow to Vancouver, Greenland and the arctic, where it is so clearly needed."



Yet they give this tree hugging commie last word.

Yeah Dan Becker is a tree hugging hater. I am pretty sure that if he had to go anywhere over the past week his ass was either walking or in some type of 4 wheel drive truck.

Its not like the H3 is a big V8 gas hog, I think he should do a little more research.

If anything, he should be thanking all the people with 4 wheel drive who voulenteered at hospitals and other organizations around DC who needed trasportation.

I know I drove my fair share of people to grociery store on numerous occasions.

People love to talk negative about Hummers in the press. Have you read much about what they've done during the snow storms - NO! I know it's been posted before, but if Hummer production ceases (H2 and H3) it's estimated that between 5,500 to 8,000 direct (dealers and assembly plants) and indirect AMERICAN JOBS will be lost. We are becoming a country of financial planners, bankers and lawyers and we have lost our manufacturing prowess.
