I agree...

I don't remember if you remember but there was an '03 pewter with a duramax conversion for sale.

I looked at it and actually made an appt. with a local dealership to check it out.

I ended up changing my mind because I didn't want to go back in years (from my '06 to an '03) nor lose my SUT.

Turns out another member was trying to sell it here and it end up having frame damage.

Being in the bodyshop business, I would have flipped out if I bought it and found out it had frame damage and I lost my perfectly good SUT for that POS.

I'm extremely confident with the guy doing the work... it'll be done soon enough.

I'm not in a super rush because I've got another few weeks to finish up my HD I've been building for the last couple of years. With the weather, I'm dying to go riding.

Me neither....

At least the wiring is done for the trans and computer. All that is left is the ABS wiring which hopefully will be done at the end of this week.

Getting closer....

I got a call from Travis. He's got all the wiring done except for the ABS. Because he needs to run the wires a certain way, he's going to pull the body off the truck one more time. (he's definitely anal, that's apparent)

Point is, he said he should be done next week.... finally.

Actually, I just got a phone call from him two days ago. The truck FINALLY made it to the dealership to have all the electrical tested and checked out, reset codes, etc, etc.

It's been a bear, that's for sure. He's done over 20 other conversions but never an H2. He definitely had something to learn...lol.

Anyway, his persistence paid off, he's fully confident that everything is perfect and he just wants the dealership's approval.

Sooooo, hopefully within the next few days I'll be able to make arrangements to get her home.

On the bright side, my Harley I've been building for 2 years was getting a few finishing touches and got a call last night I can pick it up Saturday. All the electrical and upholstery work is finished, all I have to do is fight with the DMV.

WOW, Mark...

I haven't been on in a while and I can't believe you still don't have your truck! From reading it sounds like a good thing.

Good wishes for the you and the final product!

I'm wishing you the best on your truck! Buy it's taken way too long even though it's his first H2, something just doesn't seem right.

Absolutely...

However, since I got my bike back on the road and I have my mini, I'm happy for now. Just wait till it snows or we get a downpour like we did the other night... then I really wish I had the Hummer.

Your memory serves you correctly. They've pissed off a number of people, Jonathan from Hline was a real snake oil salesman. I've had some gripes about Predator over the years, but I've got to say I think they've squared themselves away. I'd like to see one of their conversions in person sometime.

Okay, another update....

Got a message from Travis last night. Predator has got the engine and body control modules working correctly.

They are however, chasing down 1 power lead that is messed up/misplaced or whatever.

He doesn't want to jinx anything (neither do I) but it looks like I may actually be getting my truck back in 2010.

I'll let ya'll know what happens.
