Re: Nashville Flood
it flooded to fast to sandbag. most of the hardcore flooding i saw near my house was in about an hours time.. granted it got worst as the day went on but all hell broke loose when the rivers overflowed and it happened really fast!
it was crazy!
luckly i wasnt affected by the water but a tornado came through my back yard and uprooted 10+ trees... but nothin two days of work and a chainsaw couldnt fix!
Andres man that looks horrible but if you need anything or help just tell me.. im right down the road my brotha!

AMEN!
I dont care if someone likes the guy or not(most of you know i don't) but not even mentioning it sets an all time low. he's just mad no one came crying out for help from the government. i'd rather do it all on my own that receive one second of help from the prick

Re: Nashville Flood
Sorry about you place Andre, we were lucky and were far enough up the road the river stopped before it got to us. Our unfinished basement got a little water but of course no big deal compared to all the other people that lost it all.
It is incredible how you can go one street and it looks like nothing happened, and a few streets over it's like a bomb went off...sux

Re: Nashville Flood
Thank you all for your kind words, it has been the craziest week ever, what once was happy home is now 2x4s, BUT that's only downstairs, luckily it didn't get to the main level where everything is.
The Roush is fine thank GOD! lol, I took it along with the other cars up the street where I knew water couldn't reach them as soon as I saw the river tip over, that was the first thing I did, then we had friends came and took each one of them before the tornados got to us, it was caos, but at least I didn't have to worry about them anymore and could focus on trying to safe what I could. Water came up so fast I was yelling "dont let go Jack!, dont ever let go!" HA
I will keep you guys posted, again, I appreciate your kind words, thanks for the compliments on the wifey she liked them, ha and luckly we're all safe and we'll get back up on our feet sooner than later I hope.

Re: Nashville Flood
Just got back to the States. Didn't even knew anything happened, not even on the news ??? Sorry to hear about your loss and wish you and your family the best. At least when a hurricane is coming we get some notice. How do you plan for something like what happened to you?

The only thing you can do is remove anything valuable, wife and his super cool Rousch.
The rest you have to eat like a bitter apple.

Re: Nashville Flood
WOW... that is devastating, I am really sorry to see that. As mentioned above the main thing is that you and your family are OK. I wish you the best in getting through the process of getting your home back in order.

Re: Nashville Flood
Glad you weren't injured and the cars are safe! I thought about you the minute I saw the flooding on the TV. We had a small vacation home that was destroyed by the Missouri River in the Great FLood of '93 - that was a once in 1000 year flood also - seems like we're having a lot of those lately! I ripped out all the drywall and used more KILLZ than I can remember. My Hummer helped with the sandbagging in Clarksville, MO two years ago, so living by two major rivers I've seen a lot of flooding and it rips your heart apart. Things can be replaced, but lives can't.
